A Nonprofit CRM “With a Vision Behind It”

Bible League International knew they needed to find a new CRM. They found that their former CRM had provided them with the data they needed. However, they hit a wall when it came to turning that data into actionable insights.

When exploring new options, they turned to Raiser’s Edge and Salesforce but quickly realized both required a large investment to essentially rebuild what they already had with their former CRM. If they were going to make a change, they wanted it to be for something truly fresh and new. They wanted a CRM that would take their fundraising to the next level, provide actionable insights on data and reports, and create margin for more donor interactions.

Rob Bullock, Executive Vice President for Advancement, faced some trepidation from his team members about migrating to a new system. However, they found the interface intuitive and easy to navigate, opening up potential they never thought possible before.

Cleaning Up Reports & Fostering Team Collaboration

Once they made the switch, Bible League International had a clear goal: not rebuilding old reports simply because they existed. Switching to Virtuous encouraged them to think intentionally about each report and justify the reason for using it. 

And out of this greater intentionality flowed a natural increase in team collaboration. Bullock mentioned one example of this taking place when he and a gift officer were out visiting donors and found themselves with an hour of extra time. Bullock was all too delighted to find that this donor was home, and when he introduced himself, the donor’s face lit up.
