Virtuous: launching events to elevate nonprofits

Phoenix, Arizona (June 14, 2022) – Virtuous, the world’s fastest-growing nonprofit CRM and responsive fundraising platform, today introduced Events, an event registration and ticketing platform designed for nonprofits to more efficiently create and manage virtual, hybrid, or in-person events of all sizes for a better supporter experience.

Events will give organizations freedom and flexibility in how they create both digital and in-person experiences for their supporters. From the registration through to the post-event follow-up, Events enables nonprofits to create a unified on-brand experience for their supporters.

“Today’s donor expects more when participating in a fundraising, and organizations must evolve to meet the needs of their supporters,” said Director of Product, Jason VanLue. “With Events, organizations can host events of all sizes––galas, luncheons, golf tournaments, etc.––and create the type of experiences today’s modern donors have come to expect.”

Evolution of Nonprofit Events

Event-based fundraising shifted dramatically throughout the pandemic. Now, nonprofits now have more tools and technology to engage with donors and forge authentic connections. Since 2020, virtual and hybrid event adoption has been exploding across the sector, with 73% of nonprofits planning to hold a virtual or hybrid event.

  • In 2020, the number of organizations planning a virtual event doubled
  • 19.4% of registrations for nonprofit events occur on mobile devices
  • 56% of donors attend fundraising events regularly

A Clearer View of Supporter Activity

Virtuous’ event registration and ticketing offers a number of unique features and functions to support event teams, including:

  • Custom and branded registration pages using the step-by-step builder
  • Real-time attendee-tracking results
  • Campaign performance tracking, including donations and sponsorships
  • Event management automation, such as automated receipts and personalized emails

Virtuous customers will be able to add Events as an extension of their responsive fundraising platform starting this month––in time for events season–-to gain a more holistic view of supporters.

“From fundraising to marketing to volunteering and now to event participation, our customers will have an unparalleled view of their supporters,” said VanLue. “Our goal at Virtuous is to empower nonprofit leaders to have a clear, insightful view into what their supporters are doing. Technology shouldn’t be a siloed endeavor. It should provide the rich data that informs decision making and empowers growth across an organization and the community it supports.”

Customers can now choose to purchase Events as a supporting product to their marketing and fundraising strategies – further enabling growth through increased retention and average giving.
