What’s New in the Unified Donor Portal?
The Unified Donor Portal brings together the giving management features donors already use, with two new capabilities designed to make their experience even better.
1. Passwordless Login for Easier Access
No more forgotten passwords or password resets.
With the new Unified Donor Portal, donors can securely log in using a one-time magic link sent directly to their email.
This removes an extra step between donors and their giving information, making it easier to access their accounts whenever they need to.
2. Personalized Donor Impact Updates
Your donors give because they care about your mission. Now, you can help them see what their generosity makes possible.
With Donor Impact Updates, your organization can publish personalized updates that appear directly in each donor’s portal.
It’s a new opportunity to connect giving with impact and strengthen donor relationships beyond the initial gift.
Everything Donors Need in One Place
Alongside these new features, the Unified Donor Portal gives supporters access to the tools they need to manage their giving independently.
With the new portal, donors can:
- View their giving dashboard: See recent activity, upcoming gifts, and a shortcut to give again.
- Manage recurring donations: Update gift amounts, frequency, and payment methods, or cancel recurring gifts.
- Update payment information: Add, change, or remove credit cards and bank accounts.
- Access giving history and statements: Review past donations and download year-end and tax statements.
- See where their gifts go: View the funds or projects supported by each donation.
The portal also carries over your organization’s logo and branding, creating a familiar experience for supporters.
How to Get Started With the Unified Donor Portal
The Unified Donor Portal will be available through an Early Access Program beginning in late October 2026.
To be eligible, your organization must have all of its recurring gifts running through Virtuous Raise. So if your organization previously used our Legacy RaiseDonors product, just ensure that your recurring gifts have been fully migrated to Virtuous Raise.
Once eligible, you can enable the new portal directly from your account:
- Navigate to System Settings > Early Access Programs.
- Toggle on the new Unified Donor Portal.
- Review your global design settings to ensure your organization’s branding appears correctly.
- Navigate to Donor Portal Settings to control how you would like to roll out the new portal to your donors. For example, you could start by just enabling the new portal for Raise Admin only. This allows you to preview what the portal will look like for your donors (via the “Impersonate in Portal” action) before they see it.
- If you’d like donors to use the default giving form within the portal, you’ll also need at least one payment provider configured.
No additional provisioning from the Virtuous team is required. Organizations currently onboarding to Virtuous Raise will have the portal enabled by their implementation manager.
A note about customization: Existing custom pages and custom CSS will continue to apply to the legacy portal but won’t carry over to the new experience. Custom domains are planned for 2027.

Eligible Virtuous Raise customers can opt into the Unified Donor Portal starting in late October 2026. The new experience is also planned to roll out to Virtuous Giving customers in early 2027, following feedback and testing during the Raise Early Access Program.
